Barbie 6th Birthday Card

My grand daughter's picked Barbie as their theme for their 6th birthday. It was a bit of a challenge to come up with stickers and pictures to add to the card. Seems like Frozen and the 3 princesses are more popular birthday theme. I did find some Barbie confetti to add to the shaker portion of the card.

The girls love cards with unusual folds and movement so this year I made and easel card with a shaker heart on one side and 3 folds which I added candles on the other side. The shaker was made out of the silver glimmer paper and the heart thinlits. I used Melon Mambo cardstock which match the Barbie confetti just perfect.

They love the owl punch and the new bow punch, the have made several of their own, so I had to add both to their card. The bow was also punched from the silver glimmer paper, as was the #6 which I used my Cricut Expression machine to cut out. I made 6 candles from different colors of scrap paper that matched the Birthday Basics Designer Paper (retired)

I stamped their names using the Melon Mambo ink and the Metro Type Alphabet set.

The flower was made using the 1¾ scallop punch. I punched 5 then tinted the edges using the melon mambo ink. I then layered the scallops and attached a Barbie circle from the confetti to top it off. It dressed up the envelope a bit.

Valentine easel cards

These are the cards I made for my grand daughters for Valentines. They love cards with movement so this year I made an easel card with a spinner at the top. They loved them!

I cut several hearts of varying sizes using the Heart Framelits. On the largest heart I punched an opening using the Word Window Punch for the slider to fit into. The bow was made using the Bow Builder Punch and the Red Glimmer Paper.

Here is a close-up of the bow.
